I happened across the website owners YouTube videos last week and was instantly intrigued while watching him make one of these "Big Larry"'s while explaining the history of it.
I ordered one of his kits immediately.
Without a doubt, the Begleri does not disappoint. Just the feel of them alone is a stress reliever. Learning to do tricks with them is fun and really keeps the hands busy. Even the process of making them is soothing!
The decision to sell them in a pack of 4 was masterful. It allows room for error and to try different methods to find the feel that's right for you (via the Reddit rabbit hole).
The first one I messed up on and made too long, so I put knots next to the monkey fists, which made it too short (but perfect for my sons hand).
The second one I got just right.
The third I removed 3 strands from and I'm about to start tying it.
The fourth one I will try boiling.
Thank you so much for sharing your passion with the world. I ordered a jig, tools, and more projects from you today!
